Tom Loves His Gamma

I have no idea why Tom is so shocked; I mean, he has met Bob!!  

In honor of the Desolation of Smaug, I decided that Tom is related to Ungoliant.  I mean, Tom is related to pretty much all spiders; he's got a big family.  I took my kids to see Smaug, and afterwards when we went to Home Depot, we recited the eponymous dragon's narcissistic soliloquy:  My teeth are like SWORDS!!!  My claws are like SPEARS!!!  My wings can create a HURRICANE!!!  And my breath--DEATH!!!!!  I think the shoppers at Home Depot were not as impressed with the dragon as we were! 

I loved the Cumberbatch Smaug in the movie, but as a child who grew up in the 70's, the cat-dragon in the old Rankin-Bass cartoon version of the Hobbit will always be my Smaug!

I have been lax in my duties as the casual observer of alcoholic spiders.  But I promise there's more to come!
